Red Knapps American Grill in Oxford

Everything is good here but in all honesty I could just go here and eat the bread and still leave happy. I do suggest working your way through the popular menu items because they are all very well made.

This place used to be really good. Now, it seems like they don't even try anymore. On my last experience, I called to place a carryout order. I got put on hold forever, and eventually hung up and called back, at which point they immediately took my order, so obviously they just didn't bother getting back to my previous call after placing me on hold. Then I ordered a burger with no tomatoes and a large chicken noodle soup. When I arrived, there were no more than three tables occupied (so hardly so busy they couldn't even be bothered to take my first phone call). Upon getting home, my burger had tomatoes (OK, no biggie, I can take them off), and was barely even cooked. It was cold, and except for the surface was totally pink and looked like a raw patty. The chicken noodle soup was decent, but it was barely a pint in size. This is a large?? I've lived in Oxford for 15 years and have eaten here many times over the years. But, I'm done.

The food was outstanding and the service was excellent. The only issue I had was that they forgot my salad. They also forgot butter for my bread.

Ordered the chicken fettuccine alfredo, wildcat burger and chicken fingers for takeout. Delicious!!! Thank you for being open!!

The burger I ate here tasted amazing, I thought at first it would be smaller, so I ordered an extra patty, the burger was huge, homemade bun was amazing.The fries were also pretty good, service was nice and refills were timely. I definitely recommend this restaurant to families, and groups.

The service and food at Red Knapps AMERICAN GRILL is so good. Different from the other Red Knapps. The bread that they give you is absolutely delicious!

We gathered here after a hot air balloon ride with Sky Adventures of Oxford and it was a blast from my past experiences with the famous Knapp's on Main Street in Rochester across from Mitzelfeld's!!! Same great tastes and amazing service! Had to have the original Napp Burger! They still make their own burger buns...delicious! It's great to know that the best of the past lives on in Oxford! We had a GREAT time and we'll be back!

Gave them 4 stars - food was really good service was great - but they charge for refills on soda - nothing better than 20$ in soda for a table of 5

Went here for Valentines Day with my hubby! Had the best dinner and dessert! We really enjoyed it, and the staff is amazing!

Good food, good service. Pizza is a special here. Burgers have diminished mainly due to bun issues. Although not what they used to be it still is worth eating here. Recommend.

Meh. It's been going downhill quickly like a person with a terminal illness. Used to be better, it's almost like they lost the will to be good anymore and have settled for being somewhat average. I probably will not be back anytime soon and if I am, I won't expect it to have improved.

I had the Knapp Cobb Salad. It was good. Huge portion for the price. The complimentary bread was delicious. Huge menu with a variety of options. They make home made chili too. Will definitely visit again.

Services, food, and atmosphere were all very good.

Food was good. We ate outside which was romantic. Like being in a hidden garden. They should only use one waitress/waiter outside as many of the tables felt forgotten. After we were finally served the rest of the dinner was great.

Good burger and fries. I had the Wildcat burger and a couple of Sam Adams. Our waitress was very friendly. I would definitely go back.

The bbq chicken pizza was fantastic! The service was quick and the waitress was friendly even on a busy night. If we are in the area again it is a place we would return to without hesitation.

Great food. Great service. Always a pleasure to eat at the Knapp's. The best hamburger bun in the industry. Thin bun and a fairly large diameter which makes for a burger like a platter.

Good classic American food. Served in an unpretentious way. The food was tastyand the ambiance of the restaurant was very conducive to conversation. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and I'll return. I appreciated the fact that the server was very attentive without hovering.

My daughter and I went out for Oxford witches nite. Had a great dinner. Great server, Trevor. Wonderful mangers too. Even talked a little Michigan football.😊

Awesome Acheson burger! Be sure to get it with the spicey mayo. And the chocolate malt was simply wonderful. The bread basket is a must have.

Kids liked their pizza. My burger was good. My husband wasn't too wild about his rosemary chicken. But over all everything was good. Service was great!

This is a great all American restaurant/bar. Great ambience. Casual dining. Great service. Food was good, not great but definitely worth going too. The town is very quaint. The menus choices are fantastic. Their was many items we were interested in trying. I would definitely go back.

Great pizza and drinks! Love the mozzarella sticks too. Their bread is always fresh and seasoned perfectly. Service is great and there is hardly ever a wait to be seated.

OMG OMG OMG OMG!!!! That was by far one of the best burgers I've had this year. I thought Red Coat Tavern did a great burger but THIS one took me there! Presentation was phenomenal and taste was impeccable. Look to see me visit a few more times.

We have never had a bad experience at Red Knapp’s! The food is always incredible, the wait staff is very attentive and the owners are always there to make sure everything is running smoothly and the guests are happy! Their burgers are so unique and delicious!! Their fried pickles are perfect and their bread is so buttery and seasoned perfectly! You can not go wrong at Red Knapp’s!!

Food was good. Not sure what regular service & menu would be as we were there for Mother's Day brunch. Our Waitress was friendly and knowledgeable. I'd go back.

Made my nieces and nephews milkshakes to go. We were at a wedding down the street and the kids needed a little fun so we took the 15 of them here and they were great about it. In and out in 15 mins. Thank you.

The food was great but the service was very slow 22minutes for a cup of coffee and 2 cokes another 40 minutes for a salad and a sandwich and a order of fries

Their hamburgers are delicious. They bake their own hamburg buns. Great atmosphere when you eat outside.

Great service, our waitress was very attentive and nice. The hamburger I ordered was so big and delicious. To me this is a good family place. I saw several families there.

They always do a great job on hamburgers and the mozzarella cheese sticks are the best! Tonight we up for pizza and they did not disappoint! We paired it with a salad and it was awesome!

They have the best fried pickles around. I get them whenever I'm here, and try to get an order to go. Wait staff always great. Their outdoor dining area is lovely too.

Great atmosphere, and an appealing menu for a bar and grill, very diverse. Cozy outdoor seating. We ordered a large pizza, and were not happy with the sauce. Also, caesar salads were overdressed, too many croutons. Will come again to try the rosemary chicken!

I always say, if the chicken tenders ain't good, then the other choices probably aren't that great either. I just wish they'd give you a little more ranch in the cup. They're burgers are also very appetizing and unique. Go on and give it a try.
